Introduction

Moniporte is a mobile app and website designed to simplify cross-border money transfers and enable peer-to-peer (P2P) currency trading for users worldwide. The goal was to overhaul an outdated app interface, redesign the accompanying website, and lay the foundation for an admin dashboard (currently in development). Based on early testing feedback, the redesign reduced transaction errors by 80%, and improved user satisfaction.

Problem Statement

Users struggled with the app’s unintuitive and unappealing design which led to a 50% rate of abandoned transactions due to unclear steps, per user testing. The website also had these problems, with an outdated and generic design that deterred trust. Traders lacked real-time exchange rate visibility, and customer support flagged frequent errors in recipient details.

• Enhance usability for sending money and trading currency across the app.

Target Audience

• Immigrants sending money home (ages 18-55, varying tech literacy).
